Yay! Amazon's Kindle Fire (A color tablet you can read e-books and do more with) will be coming out on November 15th, 2011. For now you can pre-order a Kindle Fire as well as several Kindle Fire cases or sleeves. At $199 it's a very affordable tablet. One drawback for some is that it is Wi-Fi and not 3G or 4G. Kindle Fire has several competitors, but I think the main ones are the iPad, Nook color, plus various Android tablets like Motorola Xoom. The Pearl screen on the Kindle is so awesome that I had to review the darn gadget itself. If you are a person that likes to read before bed, but not with a book, then this is for you. The Kindle screen is not back-lit so it does not interfere with the production of melatonin. This equals a good nights sleep. Anyway...

Kindle (Wi-Fi) is a great choice if you already have a high-speed internet connection and wireless router set up in your home and do not need the added convenience of a 3G connection. 3G enables you to download books anytime, anywhere, while on the go. If you do not have Wi-Fi set up in your home, Kindle 3G may be a better option.
