Death can be a very hard thing for children to cope with. Young children may not really even understand the actual concept of death and they may not verbally express how they feel. It may seem, on the surface, like they are coping with death better than they actually are. Knowing what to say and when to say it, and knowing how to help them cope with a death is essential.
