Joystiq relates an interesting fact about one of the Pulitzer prize 2009 winners, George Will, who think video gamers above the age of 18 shouldn't be allowed to vote for they have a mental problem. He's clearly too intelligent for us to comprehend what he meant to say by saying democracy shouldn't allow video gamers, and dumb people in general (as defined by himself) to vote, because they obviously don't know their right foot from their left.

It seems like someone needs a margarita. Video gamers can learn skills that transfer to real life through our favorite hobby. Take Call of Duty or World of Warcraft or similar games that require you to accomplish something with several other players. WoW players often organize raids which requires the leader to group together people with different skills and personalities and make them work together. You must think fast and strategize to win. I did a lot of research on this subject for a blog but it still irks me to hear someone demeaning a useful and fun pastime.
