They were designed to resemble the headphones used by chopper pilots, and they made an awesome job at it.

I created this track several years ago using FL Studio as my main digital audio workstation. The sounds came from a Native Instruments Kontact 4 prepared guitar VST and the basic 808 drum kit (plus a few other sounds) featured in the FL Studio demo.
