How can you learn to sew on your own? You can take a class or an online course, or you can watch YouTube videos. If you already have some sewing skills or want to learn some theory before jumping to practice, I would recommend sewing books for beginners. Unfortunately, not every sewing book is a good reference for someone who has little to no skills in the craft. And with an abundance of authors willing to share their sewing experience, it's easy to get lost and buy a book or two that are beyond your level skill.
