In recent news, it was announced that "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel" was so much of a hit that 20th Century Fox has decided to make another film. This time it's going to be in 3-D. Oh boy. Now before I go on, I will say this. What the heck is wrong with society? I mean seriously. "Astroboy" didn't exactly have the best story out there, but it was a heck of a lot better than "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel", yet it didn't even make half the money this over hyped kiddie flick made. Seriously, I sometimes wonder if I'm watching the exact same films as the rest of the world.

Frank Sinatra
Growing up as a kid, I used to remember a lot girl cartoon characters swooning, whenever an alleged "Frankie" type figure would show up and they'd be like, "OH MY GOD. IT'S FRANKIE!!!! AAAHHHH!!!!!" Of course, I never understood the reference until during my early teen years that I realized who it was. That's also when I learned about the Rat Pack, he was in, along with his other career highlights. Although to be quite honest, I was never a fan of his. Nor do I intend to be now, but it looks like two films about him are in the works as we speak. One is based off a novel called "Mr.

Cartoons Gone Live Action!!!!
It has come to my attention recently that Warner Bros. has already made plans to launch some of their cartoon characters into movies. However, it's just not the way that many might think. Instead of making animated features or try to repeat their efforts with a live action/animated hybrid like "Space Jam" and "Looney Tunes Back In Action", Warner Bros. is opting to for another route. Personally, I'd rather see them just make new episodes of these characters. However, it's not up to me at all.

Can't get enough Anime
For those who know me best, I'll admit I'm a huge fan of Japanese anime. In fact, when I was eighteen years old, a friend mine introduced me to "Dragon Ball Z." Although I will admit the story line for that show wasn't really that great, as it seemed every saga, in that series, was generically the same. Stall the bad guy until Son Gohan or Son Goku arrives, to kick to living tar out of him. However, that wasn't what drew me into the show. It was the characters themselves. Each character presenting their own unique personality and charisma, that I couldn't help but get into the show.

80's Cartoon Explosion
Ever since "Transformers" has become a hit in theaters, rumors are abundant around Hollywood about all these stupid 80's cartoons making their way to the live action big screen. Although, the idea sounds rhetorically stupid as a lot of these cartoons wouldn't translate well onto films. However, I thought it might be fun to give my take on how well allegedly both economically and critically acclaimed these projects would be if they were to be released. I hope they get canceled, but I have a feeling they won't.
