This hike is a little out of the way but very, very well worth the trip. The geological forces that formed this landscape are just totally amazing. The hike is rated "easy" which is appropriate I think. If you have a problem with heights and exposure there are one or two spots as you leave the slot canyon and head to the top that some might prefer a "moderate" rating but we saw hikers of all ages so don't think for a second that you can't do it. Just take your time and watch your footing, it is well worth every step.

Albuquerque offers a plethora of biking opportunities. Probably the most popular, for both road cyclists and many mountain bikers, is the Paseo del Bosque Trail. This is a 18 mile long linear park that passes near many Albuquerque attractions such as the zoo, nature center and aquarium. There are many other paved trails including Paseo del Norte and many "diversion channel" trails. All these offer paved trips for any skill level.
