The signs of global economic uncertainties continued into 2012 and depressed consumer demand. In addition, as the demand for LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) monitors used in desktop PCs slowed, the global LCD monitor shipment was pushed downward in 2012, with shipment volume declining by 7.4%. In 2013, the market in general expects a slow recovery in global economy. However, due to lack of growth momentum as the LCD monitors are entering the mature phase, as well as the waning demand for desktop PCs, the shipment of LCD monitors is expected to be affected in 2013.
