Raymond Loewry was born in France and had his first success there at a very early age. He enlisted in the French army and became a high-ranking officer. He went to America and had only his uniform and very little money. He made his name there as the most prolific inventor. He was able to invent anything from fans to cars, railway and airoplanes. Eventually he had 170 inventions. A famous invention was the Studebakker car with the front straight across which was unheard of at that time.
