Today I reached a great revolution. I had bought a box of fortune cookies from Amazon. I really enjoy reading the little notes inside of them. Then it hit me, “Why not center a blog around my fortunes”. Better yet, “Why not open one a day, and write about them”. So today it begins, the fortune cookie project. 365 Days in a year, Starting on: January 8th 2011. I will unveil my fortune daily, and evaluate my feelings behind it. Hetty Green was the richest American woman in history. Though she got her start in business with a sizable inheritance, she built it into an incredibly amazing fortune. Known for her parsimony and eccentricities more than for her great wealth, she came to be called the "Witch of Wall Street." Her fortune at the time of her death in 1916 at the age of 81 was in excess of $100 million (over $1.7 billion in 2002 or approximately $2.1 billion in 2010).
