When you have a big family dinner do you save any leftovers for your dogs. We try to give them a little treat with their dinner when we have a get together. There are always plenty of left overs and things unfinished that we can give them. All of it is good for them too, we don't give them junk. Mostly meat scraps and vegetables. We just put a small bowl together and mix it in with their regular food later that night.

The question that concerns most owners is: 'how do I choose the best puppy food?'

The answer isn't as simple as you expect, because no two organisms react identically to the same foods. For example, lamb is used in the diet of dogs with various sensitivities - stomach upsets, skin problems . . . yet some dogs are allergic to lamb and it can cause them to vomit.

With a life expectancy of between ten and twenty years, the dog is a social animal who, in most cases, accepted its owner as the “pack leader” and has several features that make it useful for man. Has excellent smell and hearing, is a good hunter and running strong, relatively docile and loyal, intelligent and with good learning ability.
