Often in life people need guidance. They are bombarded with good and bad advice from sources the world over. People need to be able to take correct decisions and not live in the valley of decision. There are often great risks involved in decision-making. The Bible says that we need to ask God to guide us. Let us use an acrostic to help us remember the promises of God that we need to claim with respect to guidance.

I hike my way up the mountain of self-confidence
Fighting through the bitter cold blizzards of brutal honesty
Wondering what awaits at the top

But very quickly do I lose sight of the trail
And fall down into the river of disappointment
