So you are creating or opening a PDF file and you want to add your own information directly to the PDF. With Adobe Acrobat Pro X you can type information right onto a PDF. The PDF does not have to be an interactive form, with Pro X you can add notes, comments, information etc. right on the PDF. You can also save the notes and send the PDF with your text, info, etc . This is handy for pointing out important information on the PDF or making relevant observations about the subject of the PDF without doing so on a separate Word document, email, etc.
