While I personally have never done pot or any other drugs, there are plenty of reasons why it should be legalized.
Pointless though it may be, smoking pot still does not pose the same health risks as smoking cigarettes. I propose legalizing marijuana, while at the same time phasing out cigarettes and eventually completely outlawing tobacco.

There is several theories of drug addiction exist, some of the major ones are genetic predisposition, another one is the self medication theory, and some factors involved with social/economic development.It has long been established that genetic factors along with social and psychological factors are great contributors to addiction. A common theory along these lines is the self-medication hypotheses. Epidemiological studies estimate that genetic factors account for 40 to 60 percent of the risk factors for alcohol addiction .
