Jor-El sends his only son to Earth, due to their homeworld of Krypton falling apart. Clark grows up knowing he's different from everyone else, as this forces him to inevitably embark on a journey to figure out who he is, and why he was ever sent to Earth to begin with. However, General Zod shows up to wipe out humanity to create a new Krypton, so now Clark must become Superman to save the world from impending doom.
