Plastic Logic, the maker of thin and flexible e-paper has introduced the ZED (zero-energy display). This is a flexible display with a very low energy consumption which is solar powered. This display was incorporated into a color e-paper SmartWatch concept.

The prototype uses the flexible color e-paper display which you can wrap around your wrist and uses e-ink in combination with a color filter to render colors on the display.
