As a child I remember quite a few of my friends being on some form of medication to deal with their ADD/ADHD diagnosis.These children were considered "different" then others on the basis that they were unable to stay focused, sit still, and were just often hard to control. However, as I have researched and aged I've noticed the diagnosis of ADD/ADHD being less and less commonplace.......

These days, most food products that are specifically marketed to children contain tartrazine. Unfortunately, it doesn't stop here. Tartrazine is also found in many medications, cosmetics and personal care products. It is in fact derived from coal tar. Some may not be familiar with what coal tar actually is or where it originates from.

These first couple of hubs are light-hearted tidbits I've published on a very serious topic. I want to open up channels of conversation and give hope to those who have lived with the same behaviors I have lived with. I hope to continue to write on relationships and how people respond to one another more in the future. I've lived with drug addiction, Attention Deficit disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Dyslexia, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive Compulsion Disorder and a group of people who have been mal used by their worlds in general.
