I have family living in AA and I went to see them. I was amazed over the Ethiopian country. They have such old culture and beautiful landscape. Her you can see Hippos and the Masorai tribes with their herds of camels. Be careful thou..I spent most of my stay in the capital Addis Ababa (which means new flower in amharic) I was amazed over the city life with the spices and all people and goats on the streets. They used donkys as construction workers =)

The voice of America radio transmission has its own place in the political changes that happened in Ethiopia. I was child when the communist regime came to power. Communism really ruined the country. It may not be the ideology that ruined it but the people who were running this agenda. Right from the beginning the regime was riddled with power struggle from the inside out. Politically motivated killings were so rampant that people were living in real fear and uncertainty. War was the prominent theme by then.
