One of the more popular songs around the holiday, The 12 Days of Christmas also has very symbolic as well as historical significance.
Traditionally this holiday began on Christmas Eve and continued until the eve of Epiphany on January 5th. Although in some sects begins on Christmas day and continues until the 6th of January, the beginning of Epiphany.
