Funhouse: This is an oldy but a goody. In college I worked at an indoor miniature golf place, and we had a Funhouse pinball machine. To this day it’s probably my favorite pinball of all time with that big giant head of a comic dummy talking at you in the middle of the playing field. Lots of good memories and good times with this one.

“Drive-In Massacre” takes place at a run-down old drive-in theater, where a mysterious killer suddenly strikes. Armed with a sword (yes, a sword), he sneaks up to one of the cars parked in the darkness and slays the young couple enjoying the movie and each other’s bodies.

Two rather odd cops, Larry and Mike, investigate the murders and question the manager, an asshole named Austin, who doesn’t seem to care at all that two members of the audience got killed the night before. The two cops also talk to Germy, the weird drive-in cleaner who discovered the bodies.

The last few months, I’ve reviewed some of legendary horror director Lucio Fulci’s last movies; movies I had heard of but never seen. But now I’ve watched a movie I’ve never even heard of. I had no idea that Fulci supervised (or something like that) a handful of direct-to-video movies (I believe there are five of them) in 1989; the “Lucio Fulci presenta” movies. Fulci “presents” the movies, his name is mentioned in the titles, but I’ve no idea what he had to do with them more than lending them his name.

This time around, it begins with a nice game of beach volley ball. Great. Diane (Brandi Burkett), Jackie (Keely Christian) decide to throw a girls only slumber party. But while still at the beach, a weird guy shows up. He looks weird and behaves even weirder -- is he by any chance the Local Psycho?

They all leave the beach -- everybody but poor Sarah, who goes to her car all by herself, and guess what happens: yes, the Local Psycho shows up and power drills the poor girl to death. No slumber party for you, Sarah!
