Your smart phone makes that artificial noise when you type on it. This can be a pain when you text. The noise lets everyone know you are typing a text message an not paying attention to them. On my LG Lucid it actually sounds like one of those old fashioned typewriters which is kind of funny since I don't think a lot of people even know what a typewriter is anymore lol. If you own a Samsung Reality phone and you find yourself constantly running out of memory, you should get yourself a memory card. I use a Sandisk and it seems to work well enough for me. Getting the memory card into and out of the cell phone can be a bit tricky. I wrote an article that gives tons of various advise to using the memory card for photo storage and it also gives detailed instruction on where to insert the cards and a tip for getting the card out.

The Samsung Reality cell phone owner’s / user’s manual does not list all of the important icons and their meanings. The user manual is too small to contain all that information. If you are getting weird or different symbols next to your text messages or if you are simply trying to figure out what a symbol means on your cell phone menu you might be able to find everything you need right on your cell phone.
