The Second Amendment (or at least one version of it) reads as follows:

"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed".

Monty: Huh? What's "A well regulated militia"? And I hardly think that any civilian militia like we had in the 1800's or even now for that matter is hardly in a position to defend the United States from foreign or domestic military invasion.
