I wrote this poetry back when I was in my teens and early twenties. Other than the occasional rhymed-poem, I found I much preferred writing free-style free-verse type poetry.
When I would find myself embroiled in some kind of conflict, either with myself, with others, or with some kind of situation, I would compose a series of one to six poems. By the end of the writing session, I would feel at peace about the whole situation. So writing poetry for me turned into a type of self-therapy.
