There is not one single plot point in this movie that hasn’t been thoroughly recycled. The plot is straight out of Rosemary’s Baby, while the camera work is straight out of an iPhone held by someone with Palsy. Calling this film a horror movie is a bit of a stretch, because there isn’t one scary moment in the entire thing.

Ever think of a movie and wonder why the direction of the film didn’t more logically go in one direction or another? Sometimes there is such lack of logic in the plot of a film that people refer to it as a plot fail. I think there might be a serious plot fall in the movie “Unstoppable” Unstoppable stars a Denzel Washington and Chris Pine. Two pretty good actors. There is a moment in the grand finale of the film where I was left wondering if there wasn’t a more logical way to end this movie.

I can’t say I’ve read any nice reviews of “Staunton Hill”. On the contrary, I’ve mainly encountered negative reviews of the movie, and I must add I never thought this movie would be released over here in Sweden, at least not by a major distributor like Universal.

The screenplay and the dialog were so poorly written, I was like ‘who the hell wrote this? Sylvester Stallone?’ Then I realized this was actually the case. This is an action movie that is clearly stuck in the 80’s, where the overreactions of the characters are necessary to move the plot forward.
