Common Type of Trigger Fish Caught in South New Jersey Shore

If you are wondering what is the name of the Common Trigger Fish Caught in South New Jersey Shore is I would have to think it is the Gray trigger fish. Yes, this is more or less my opinion based on fishing in Cape May County, NJ, but overwhelmingly, or I should say exclusively, I have only caught Gray triggerfish.
Gray Triggerfish are gray in appearance versus their more colorful relatives. The Gray's run about 12-16" in length. They have tiny mouths with strong jaws for eating shrimp, crab and other shell creatures.

Fishing along the beach is easy to find legal spots to cast out your line. Fishing from the land on the bayside is a bit more challenging in Sea Isle. There are lots of homes that back right up to the bay and the canals. You definitely do not want to trespass so you'll need to find areas open to the public for fishing and crabbing.
