The Richest Man in Babylon - The success secrets of the Ancients; a very interesting book written by George Clason. The book provide financial advice through a collection of parables set in ancient Babylon through their experiences in business and managing household finance in a very simple way. I will not go into details about the different characters and the dialog between them; As a start I have to say that I did not read the full book yet but I had read enough to understand the full concept of the book, therefore I will share here what I have learnt from this book.
The Book itself doesn't offer you any advice on the way how to be a rich man, any examples on the best way to invest your money or how to earn money online; rather it provides you with the basic concepts to understand how to deal with the money through a simple story about Babylon. Reading the book isn't only useful for you if you plan to be a rich man but it's also useful if you plan to manage your financial situation especially in the current loose economy environment.

The need to invest and create cash flow is empathized while cautioning against consumer debt. Arakad was the richest man in Babylon because of good cash flow as his purse always filled up no matter how much he spent.

Babylon was one of the great cities of old tracing its history almost 4000 years back. Babylon was built next to the river Euphrates in ancient Mesopotamia, modern day Iraq. During its history Babylon went through both good and bad times, from being occupied to being a superpower and back again. Through the ages the city was ruled by many and even today some of its ancient rulers are well known such as Hammurabi and Nebuchadnezzar II. Today ancient Babylon is in ruins but its has nevertheless inspired countless people and its history still has much to teach us.
