Madonna is one of the greatest of the female singers of all time. Comparison with most of the great female singers like Sandie Shaw, Mary Hopkins and some other popular female vocalists of a bygone era indeed does her a lot of good. She comes out on top. These are not just assumptions made from viewing statistics from record sales, but it is the general opinion that she is a great artist possessing enormous talent. Not taking into consideration the eras in which different stars reigned, I would say that that Madonna is the queen of song as much as Elvis Presley was the king.
