Trayvon Martin was shot on Feb. 26 by George Zimmerman, a self-appointed neighborhood watch captain, while he was visiting his father in Sanford, Florida. Martin left his father’s home to buy Skittles and iced tea when he was spotted and pursued by Zimmerman. A scuffle ensued and resulted in the death of seventeen-year-old Trayvon. Zimmerman, who maintains that he acted in self-defense, has not been arrested.

Kurt Busch wins road race
Kurt Busch wins Toyota Save Mart 350 – Kurt Busch controlled the race in Infineon. Leading with 75 laps out of 111, Busch took control from the beginning of the race. Jeff Gordon came close at the end but ran out of laps to catch Mr.Busch. This is Kurt Busch first win of the season and first road race of his career. Claiming the 2011 Toyota Save Mart 350 trophy.
