Traditional Pookalam designs were built in ten rings, which represent the ten days duration of the festival. Contemporary Pookalam designs have developed away from this tradition to designs without ten rings, but all Pookalam flower designs are still in circular pattern. These designs are a cultural highlight of the Onam festival celebrating the beauty of colorful floral designs displayed in beautiful inventive patterns.

Kerala is pinning very high hopes on the liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal that may be commissioned in Kochi in a couple of years, but there are issues that may have to be sorted out at the current stage itself. The envisaged capacity of the terminal of Petronet LNG Limited in Kochi is 2.5 million metric tonne per annum (mtpa). Of this quantum, Petronet has struck tie-up for the supply of 1.2 mmtpa. The plan is to expand the capacity to 5 mmtpa later.

Cochin Marine Drive also known as Kochi Marine Drive is the famous walkway in the city of Cochin (Kochi), Kerala, India.
