Samuel Koch, age 23, was attempting to jump over a moving vehicle with nothing more than a pair of spring loaded stilts. The attempt failed, and Koch landed.

The attempt failed, and Koch landed face first on the ground and was motionless after the hard landing. 10 million viwers witnessed the terrible accident, it was aired live in Germany. The accident put an immediate stop to the show.

Samuel Koch’s mother was in the studio audience and watched her son’s accident take place. Koch’s father was reportedly the driver of the car during the stunt.
