What would happen if we all simply gave up our attempts at trying to control, manipulate and coerce others into being what we expect them to be, or to behave in ways we expect them to?
Our efforts to control others are seldom for their benefit, we do it for our own gratification. We trust others will make us feel better, we expect others to meet our demands and expectations. But it is such a cumbersome impossibility. Why bother?

2012: A New Self-fulfilling Prophecy
Lately there has been a lot of talk about the Mayan prophecy in which believers claim states the world is going to end 12/21/2012. Now, I’m not saying that the world as we know it won’t end on that date, but if it does, it’s not because it was predestined as much as it was a self-fulfilling prophecy.
If we insist on fulfilling an ancient prophecy in 2012, why can’t it be something that will benefit human-kind?

The story centers around a wild-eyed Englishman, who had personal aspirations of finding a human rights lawyer, who would be willing to listen to his case against the pope.
