Google made over $29.3 billion in the year 2010, and 97 percent of that came from advertising. Google receives approximately one billion visitors per month, which translates to one out of every seven people on the planet. Visitors to Google's websites spend 200 billion minutes on these sites. Google is also a huge consumer of electrical power, using over 260 million watts per year.

These days, everybody has an Internet-connected sensible phone. Most of those phones a minimum of have access to Google maps, if not full-fledged Google Maps enabled GPS navigation, called Google Maps Navigation. For users of those phones, finding a restaurant, gas station, bank, or alternative form of business could be a snap.

Google is one of the most successful companies which emerged from the .COMs bubble. Its business model proved itself to be effective and viable.

My own experience with Google main business model started when I developed a website to help people connect with each other without the hassle of downloading software or registering and creating a profile which is time consuming and despicable.
