The MMARising Women’s Mixed Martial Arts Rankings for June 2011.
You probably already know that this used to be the WAMMA Women’s Rankings, but so far MMARising has done a much better job of keeping the list updated.
One thing I really like on this list is that fighters who have not competed within the past 12 months are not eligible to be ranked, which takes their list out of the popularity contest level.

The Best in Female MMA 3
More female mixed martial arts fighters from all over the world.
This time we have some fighters you may not have ever heard of, and some that if you haven't heard of them, you probably soon will.
Featuring Cindy Dandois (Belgium), Hitomi Akano (Japan), Jessica Pene (USA), Aisling Daly (Ireland), Carla Esparza (USA) and more female mixed martial arts fighters from all over the world.
Marloes Coenen Vs Liz Carmouche - Female MMA
On Saturday night (March 5, 2011) at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, Marloes "Rumina" Coenen (19-4-0) successfully defended her Strikeforce Women's 135 title against Liz "Girl-Rilla" Carmouche (5-1-0) at Strikeforce - Feijao vs. Henderson.
The fight was supposed to be against Miesha Tate, but when she injured her knee in training, Liz stepped up to take her place.
And Liz gave Marloes a fight that few expected.
Miesha Tate - Female MMA Fighter
This lovely young lady is female mixed martial artist Miesha "Takedown" Tate.
Miesha was born on August 18th, 1986 in Tacoma, Washington.
She is five foot four inches tall and weighs in at 134 pounds.
Miesha is not only trained in MMA, but submission wrestling as well, which really is part of MMA when you think about it.
And she is without a doubt the most popular female mma fighter online at the moment.
