It was a night of wild crashes and spectacular finishes at Sandia Speedway in Albuquerque. One driver did end over end flips down the front straightaway and another driver rolled in the main event. All drivers were unhurt but their cars suffered considerable damage. Here is the recap along with photos.

Many folks don’t enjoy sports, but I do. I love basketball, football, tennis, boxing, volleyball and many others. I even sometimes enjoy wrestling, with the accompanying ringside melodramas. Sports are entertaining. There is a thrill to watching intense competition. There is satisfaction in watching a player or team overachieve. There is a sense of shared history in observing a moment that will be remembered as great.

The Sauber Team will be celebrating 40 years in motorsports. For the start on Sunday on the Hockenheim Ring, the logo will be changed to a commemorative text. Peter Sauber had founded the company in 1970 in Zürich.
