It was a night of wild crashes and spectacular finishes at Sandia Speedway in Albuquerque. One driver did end over end flips down the front straightaway and another driver rolled in the main event. All drivers were unhurt but their cars suffered considerable damage. Here is the recap along with photos.

Driving a real stock car around a real race track was more than terrific and slightly terrifying fun, it was a reality check as well as the confirmation that life turned out okay, even when the only checkered flag I ever got was the one they waved for every other driver that day.

Rules Changes in Sports I Would Like to See
Many folks don’t enjoy sports, but I do. I love basketball, football, tennis, boxing, volleyball and many others. I even sometimes enjoy wrestling, with the accompanying ringside melodramas. Sports are entertaining. There is a thrill to watching intense competition. There is satisfaction in watching a player or team overachieve. There is a sense of shared history in observing a moment that will be remembered as great.
