NCAA officials have really come down hard on Ohio State University for violation of NCAA rules and player misconduct. Among the sanctions and penalties given were that five Ohio State University football players, which includes star Quarterback Terrelle Pryer, must sit out the first five games of the 2011 season. Along with these player sanctions, the NCAA also imposed several sanctions against the University football program too.

South Huntington School District bans energy drinks

Well this may be the best idea I’ve heard in a while, the South Huntington School District has announced a ban on the consumption of certain energy drinks by its athletes.

A notice posted on the district's website reads:

"The NCAA has seen the need to regulate drinks or substances that can potentially endanger the physical well-being of a student-athlete.
