Pluralism comes from the plural word which means plural, variety. In fact, the contents of the universe is indeed diversity. Similarly, the views of divinity, religion. Diversity, in many ways, it becomes a source of beauty and shows the greatness of God. Imagine a garden plant all the same, the impression would be far from beautiful. Imagine all the same human nature, its physical form, will certainly cause confusion and chaos. Imagine the world of education will only provide doctoral level courses, with no Primary School, Junior High School, Senior High School. Millions of peoples will experience depression and even madness.
It's something amazing when Hinduism the oldest religion - who was born while other religions are naturally not available so unfamiliar with the diversity - just really appreciate pluralism. In the Indian subcontinent, the Hindu religion can live peacefully side by side with Buddhists and Sikhs, two biological children who were born from the womb of the Hindus. Represent the views of the Hindu Swami Vivekananda in his speech at the congress of world religions in Chicago, in 1983, saying "I'm proud to come from a nation that has protected the refugees from the breakout of all religions and nations in this world. I am proud to proclaim to you that we have embraced the remaining -the rest of the purest Israelit, who came to southern India and sought refuge at our place at the time of their holy temple was destroyed by the tyrant of Rome. I am proud to embrace the religion which has protected and still preserve the remains proud of the great Zoroaster (who in her/his native country Iran / Persia, destroyed by Islam, ed). "
Hinduism have not a problem with pluralism. If there is an allergy to the word religious pluralism, Hinduism is the opposite, promoting the values of pluralism. Pharmacy of "Bhinneka Tuinggal Ika" that existed in the state emblem of the Republic of Indonesia is the recognition that diversity is taken from the Hindu-Buddhist philosophy. Comfortable with the various Hindu sects, sampradaya and cult groups, while many religions still very busy watching each other among the groups within it, and ended with recriminations "misguided". Hindus, again, free from such claims.
Thank you.
