Many people think that 40% is too high a price to pay. They are wrong. My articles on hubpages are always indexed by google within 24 hours and many make their first earnings within this time as well. If you can show me another site that does this and has a PageRank of 5 I am all ears. The best bit about hubpages is what happens 6 - 8 months after an article is published. After the inital boost google gives new content, there is a slight fall in traffic until your article is later reclassified as 'established'. When this occurs, good articles turn great and even the failures turn respectable.
