What the hell is an Ambiance Eco Green Mini Split? It's a smart system of heating and air conditioning. It's way smarter than what you have in your home - unless, of course, you are so wealthy as to own a home with modern ground source heat pumps.

I'm willing to bet that you are NOT so wealthy, and that you have what I call "plain old dumb air conditioning" in your home. Hey, at least you don't just run window units, right?

Forgive me here, I'm an air conditioning snob. Window units are just fine if you live so far North, say, in New York City, etc - that you don't need air conditioning so often.

Me? I live around Dallas, Texas; and without air conditioning people here die. No, I have no earthly idea how they ever survived long ago. Moving along. . . .

Ambiance Eco Green mini splits are just that - they are miniature split systems. If you live in a home with a big noisy copper filled box outside of it that blows hot air out of the top, then you live in a home with a split system, and that thing outside is the condenser. What this means is that there are a set of copper lines going from that noisy hot air thing outside (the condenser) to somewhere inside where the cold air is blown out from. Got it?

Ambiance Eco Green mini splits are miniature split systems, and what the deal is here is that you don't have just one big system, you have several smaller systems. Now, I know, you think that that is annoying, don't you? I think you are annoying - but I'm biting my lip.

With mini split systems, like the Ambiance Eco Green systems, you can turn the others off when you don't need them on. In this way you save much money. If you have spare bedrooms in your home, and most often nobody is in those rooms - then why on Earth would you want to pay your hard earned money to keep those rooms cool when nobody is in them? Let me help you here, YOU DON'T WANT TO!

Are you seeing the beauty here yet? You should be, but there is a whole lot more to it than that. With the mini split systems, there is no ductwork in the house. Oh, there could be ductwork left over if you've had the minis installed - and the big, clunky, inefficient system hasn't been taken out. You should have that taken out; and that way you can use your attic to store stuff in.

The last home I saw with Ambiance Eco Green mini splits had a huge attic with nothing at all inside of it. I was thinking that someone should put a pool table and some bean bags up there, and of course, have another Ambiance Eco Green mini split installed to keep the attic cool for a hangout/party room.

Ambiance Eco Green mini split systems are heat pumps. What that means to you is that you don't need gas for heat, and you don't have to run those super expensive electric heat strips for heat either. You run air conditioning for heat. I know, that doens't make sense, but it does if you think about it. Heat pumps are air conditioning systems that run in reverse during heating, and run in air conditioning, or "forward" during air conditioning. Got it? I said it, it's all true.

On top of all of these fine things, the Ambiance Eco Green mini split systems are very high efficiency systems. They are FAR more efficient than all but the most expensive central heating and cooling systems - but of course, they are more efficient than those in that you can turn them off for the rooms that are not being used. I believe I've already mentioned that bit.
