Earlier this month (Sept), Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI) released its list of the top 50 female wrestlers.
Pro Wrestling Illustrated started in 1979, and was unlike most magazines that talked about wrestling at the time, as in it didn’t treat the storylines as fake, but as real (kayfabe).
Recently though, PWI has become more realistic in its approach to the "angles" and characters, drawing a line between on-screen events and behind the scenes stories.
PWI not only covers the WWE and TNA, but also independent wrestling promotions as well.

Earlier this month (Sept), Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI) released it's list of the top 50 female wrestlers.
Now of course a lot of people have problems with this list and I don't hold it as anywhere near "gospel".
But I though that like last year, I'd take out the ladies that work for the Indy wrestling promotions and see how they faired.
So here are the female wrestlers on the PWI Top 50 that work for the Indys and where they placed this year as opposed to last.

PWI (Pro Wrestling Illustrated) has just released their new PWI Female 50 for 2009.
And since I did the list for 2008 on another Hub, it seemed fitting that I would update it.
So here again are the top 25 off the list, with a bit about each wrestler and how this years ranking stacked up against last years.

Here's some more WWE Diva, TNA Knockout and Wrestlicious wrestling news and rumors...

At the WWE PPV, Tables, Ladders & Chairs, Mickie James took on the champion Michelle McCool and Michelle came out on top to retain her title.

And on WWE Raw Monday night, there was a 7 on 7 Diva Match, which really turned out to be a Rosa versus Mickie wrestling match, with Mickie winning.

Afterwards, Maria won the Slammy Diva of the Year Award that was voted on by the fans.
As Maria was thanking the fans, Batista pulled a Kanye West and cut her off.
