The successful engagement with sports in general and with training disciplines such as weigthlifting or the use of fitness machines in specific, requires a strong mentality, maybe even stronger than the muscles we use to achieve high levels of fitness.
The same applies in bodybuilding, and in his book, Mike Mentzer, a person who gained the absolute professional recognition, yet a tragical figure in the world of body sculpture, presents the philosophical side of things. Yes, believe it or not, mental and psychological power is equally important to body strength for anyone involved in some form of physical exercise or another. It is important to realize is that the most difficult opponent to win over is the limitations set by our own mind.
