The hot summer sun can heat up your house. Make sun screens that block out much of the heat to help keep your home cooler. If you have frames for windows already, it's just a matter of replacing the window screen with sun screen, which is thicker and black, instead of gray. But if you only have screens that cover half or part of the window, for maximum benefit, make replacement window screens with sun screen that cover the entire window.

To make sun screens, you will need:

- Frame or frame pieces that snap together from hardware store

- Hacksaw
