Later he changed into a robe of scarlet, worshipped his weapons. And ascended the octagonal throne made of gun-metal. As guns in every fort in the kingdom fired salvos, chief priest Ganga Bhat raised the royal parasol over 47-year-old Shivaji and hailed him Chhatrapati.
