For many vegetable gardeners like you and me, regardless of whether we are a beginner, or master gardener, the mere sighting of a bug in our prized vegetable plants. Let me just say, the first thing that comes to mind is kill the blink-a-de blink thing. After all, beneficial insects such as the praying mantids are down right scary looking. All though good bugs to have in our organic gardens, not only do they hunt, kill, and eat, the bad bugs that live to devastate all our fruit and veggie plants in our container gardens, raised beds or hanging baskets. The cannibalistic praying mantis would just as soon make a meal of a young wingless praying mantis, aphid-eating ladybug or green lacewings the first chance it gets. While let us not forget, preying on all the bad bugs as well.
