Becoming a parent is as wonderful as it is scary. Once you realize that you will be responsible for meeting ALL of your baby’s needs, it will change your outlook on life. I know that when my son was born, I realized that I needed to “grow up”. You will be the person meeting all on your baby’s basic needs including feeding, clothing, and a safe place to grow up. This will continue for the rest of their life, although, obviously to a different degree. Changing diapers is just the first step. You will be making life decisions that will impact and shape their future, which will possibly be passed on to their children. You will be controlling many outside influences that will have a profound impact on their personality and well being.
