This is Part 4 of a 4 Part Series about my rare autoimmune disease that I recently published on the web. I published my story to give hope and motivation to others with similar stories. I have a very rare and life threatening autoimmune disease called Progesterone Induced Anaphylaxis, Autoimmune Progesterone Anaphylaxis, and/or Autoimmune Progesterone Dermatitis. It is a condition in which a woman becomes allergic to her own female hormone called Progesterone. The most common allergy to Progesterone will produce hives, swelling, blistering of lips, severe PMS, infections, and acne beginning anywhere from 3-10 days before menstruation with symptoms subsiding a day or 2 after starting menstruation. The more severe, extremely rare case, which is the one that I suffer, causes anaphylactic reactions beginning and subsiding in the same time frame of the menstrual cycle. Anaphylaxis is a severe allergic, life threatening reaction involving the organs of the body including skin, lungs, heart, stomach, bladder, and muscles. This is the same kind of severe allergic reaction that can cause shock and death in people who are allergic to bee stings, peanuts, seafood, etc. and requires emergent injections of Epinephrine and antihistamines. Many women suffer undiagnosed hormone related medical problems. I believe that many more women suffer with similar conditions as mine due to the medical professions’ lack of knowledge and testing for Progesterone Induced Anaphylaxis and it's milder forms. Through research and because of the lack of medical treatment options, I had to develop my own all natural and organic beneficial estrogen (estriol) treatment to accomplish and maintain remission. I have been very successful with my new treatment and hope to educate others so that they can benefit as well. This treatment is very beneficial and can also be used for hormonal imbalance, menopause/ perimenopause symptoms, breast growth/firmness, to maintain youthful hair/skin/nails, increase libido, increase vaginal moisture and muscle tone, and it is a wonderful prevention for female related cancers.
