Some women are the victim of verbal abuse where there spouse or significant other belittles them in some way and destroys their self-esteem. Another type of abuse that women have to watch out for is mental abuse. Sometimes you do not realize that you are being abused or you make excuses for the abuse that you are going through. The last type of abuse is physical abuse. The spouse or significant other has a bad temper or has been the victim of abuse themselves.

Preparation is needed to help avoid a situation going overboard. Or it's important to be prepared in case it does.
