I did not title this hub “Baby Registries for Dummies” because you are not a dummy, and neither was I when my son was born. We start as beginners in the parenting world who need life experience to hopefully become masters one day. As we become more experienced, we become “smarter” (or so it seems). A second child is usually easier in the aspect that you know how to change a diaper, what a Pack and Play is, and that it’s okay if things don’t always go the way you expect. I have several friends who are soon joining the wonderful world of parenthood, and wanted to share some of my experiences with them to help speed up their learning curve. One such tip is to use a baby registry. I did not use a baby registry, and ended up getting lots of cute outfits, different brands of diapers, and some great gifts (for other people). I don’t want to seem ungrateful because we were not, but some items were duplicated while other needed items were missing. Baby registries allow people to determine what YOU want and what has been purchased to avoid duplications. Most large stores have baby registries and many there are also many great online suppliers. You may join more than one registry to allow a diverse selection and more choices for your friends and family.
