The canary which belongs to the finch family is the most loved bird for its beautiful whistling, since the 16th century. It was also used by coal miners because of being able to sniff gas and gave an early warning. As beautiful finches are but they can strip an entire crop. They descent with hundreds of thousands of birds on a field. They soon strip seeds, grasses and cereal crops.

Red-billed queleas are the most numerous birds in the world. It is assumed they have a population of 10 billion. The group they belong to is a small and seedeating songbird with great appetite. The goup includes buntings, tanagers, finches, sparrows and weavers. Even since they look the same they belong to three different groups. Buntings, cardinals and tanagers belong to the Emberisidea. This family has about 540 species. The Fringillidea has about 125 species of finches. Sparrow and weavers belong to the group Ploceidae and has about 160 species.
