Genetically we are quite similar to gorillas (between 95%-98%), yet our DNA is more closely matched to the chimpanzees. Obviously there are some apparent differences as gorilla arms are longer than their legs; so while they can walk on their back legs they will use the backs of their fingers like extra feet when walking, which is called the knuckle walk.

There is so much to see and do while you are there that you will definitely feel like it was worth the trip.

Apes are assumed to be more intelligent than monkeys. The family has two groups. One the lesser apes like the gibbons and the great apes like the chimpanzees. Gibbons are slender apes and great air acrobats. The nine different species of gibbons are all living in the forests of South Asia. They got all the same characteristics like long arms, hairy but not on the dark face. Their variation is in the size as well as in the colour of their coat.
