Once the kids start to enter the world of Nintendo it can be very confusing but fun at the same time. Which Nintendo Game Console is the best one to start with ? It really depends what the aim is - does it need to be portable or not ? Is it for the whole family to play together ? How much do you want to spend ? etc, etc.

We started with the Wii and it was one of the best purchases we have ever made. Mario Kart is the favourite game in our house (if only my husband would let me win every now and again, spoilsport !). The Wii sports game is also great fun for all the family - great for tournaments, whether it be golf or ten pin bowling, tennis or boxing they are all there. Watching my Dad and hubby boxing on Christmas Day was just priceless.

The next stage for us is the DS - I have decided to purchase the DSi not the more recent DS XL. I contemplated between the two for a while but then after speaking to a few people including the workers in the Games shops and Nintendo addicts I decided to go for the DSi and of course the added bonus was that it's cheaper.
